Chris qualified from the School of Architecture, Bolton Street Dublin in 1982. On graduating Chris worked with Abalkhail Consulting Engineers and subsequently RKD Architects on mixed use projects in Ireland and abroad. He was appointed by Kilkenny Design, the design authority of the Irish Government, to run the Corporate Interiors section of Kilkenny Design Consultancy in 1986.

Chris joined the Traynor O’Toole Architects in 1989. He developed a considerable expertise in design for the pharmaceutical, industrial and logistics sectors. Among projects successfully delivered were facilities for Lake Region Pharmaceutical Ltd. and the four Regional Distribution Centres for Lidl GmbH.

Chris offers considerable experience across a wide range of building and project types and has led the design teams on some of the firm’s largest projects. These include Beacon South Quarter, a mixed use development of 100,000sq.m, Beacon Court and Beacon Hospital. He offers particular expertise in project management and delivery, fire safety design and quality control procedures.

Chris is currently coordinating the development of hospital extension proposals and the delivery of a number of medical fit outs. In addition he is assisting a number of Receivers in realising value on a number of distressed assets.
